Twitter for me has been the most enjoyable of the so called social networking tools that have emerged on the Internet scene in the last few years. Whereas applications like Facebook allow me to keep in contact with people I already know (which has been fantastic), Twitter actually connects me with people I would never have otherwise met.
Over the last few months I have met some great people, whom today I would even consider friends. I have celebrated the births of their children. Shared their music. Discussed politics. Laughed at their jokes. Even prayed for them. And all this without ever seeing their faces.
Strange eh?
